I started my "Square"  series in 2004.  Influenced by the ceramic sculpture of Tony Hepburn and the wooden "blood bowls" of Jim Partridge, these pieces, turned from roughly rectangular blocks of wood, are both turned and unturned.  They allow a greater emotive range than round pieces.
