Some of the tools I use in my demonstrations are available for sale.

 

detail gougeMODIFIED DETAIL GOUGE. 1/2" diameter. Used for turning beads, feet and other details on faceplate work. It has a shorter bevel than a detail gouge used for spindle work, making it more user friendly.

The gouge is made by Doug Thompson of A-11 cryogenically treated tool steel. It is supplied unhandled.The cost is $55.00 plus shipping.

finishing gougeFINISHING GOUGE. 3/8" diameter. Used for making fine finishing cuts on the interior and exterior surfaces of bowls. It leaves a very smooth finish. It's not for removing large amounts of wood.

3 point toolMy favorite Rotary Chisel, made by Don Hines of Creative Technologies. A rotary carbide tool that cuts three closely spaced lines. Approximately 5/8" diameter with a 1/8" shaft. Use after turning to add patterns and textures. The cost is $32.00 plus shipping.

Shipping from 1 to 5 turning tools is $10.00 to anywhere in the U.S. Rotary tool shipping is $3.00 for 1 to 5 burs. If ordered with turning tools, rotary tools are shipped along with the tools for no extra fee.
